Bottled Sorcery

One of the many foreign characters I got to know in Iquitos, after a couple of weeks of not seeing him, He tells us, "This week I had a lot of partying" laughing in a low voice...

He tells us that during the week, in order to save money, he bought a large bottle of 7 roots, a dark green alcohol drink made out of the mix of 7 roots that are inside the bottle. He bought it from someone he did't knew and never seen as well.
During several days he've being drinking around half a litter a day, so the days went by, until he got to the end where he could finally see the roots inside. But just then he realized that at the bottom one of the roots wasn't of wood, it was a tiny black boa!
Researching a bit we've learned that the black boa in the drink is a sorcery spell, which provides bad luck to whoever drinks it for a certain period of time, what we don't know is for how long.
